The “camino primitivo” – the natural alternative

The “Camino Primitivo” represents the first real pilgrimage from the capital of the kingdom os the asturs to the newly found tomb of the apostol St. James (SANTIAGO).

This is a tough road for the pilgrim since it’s ups and downs, hills and valleys through the mountains don’t leave any moment of rest until well entered the province of Galicia.

FIRST DAY: Oviedo/Grado - San Juan de Villapañada - Astúrias

Oviedo it’s a beautiful town to visit.
The “casco Viejo” – the old town – offers a varied view of ancient houses, beautiful spots to have a peaceful meal and the streets filled with “Sidrerias” – the typical Asturian drink with lots of appetizers of the region
